Inc. 5000 To-Go Go-To Sixteen billion single-use coffee cups get thrown out each year. Enter Stojo's reusable, dishwasher...
Problem
Consumers are demanding better reusables
Conscious consumers want to do the right thing, but it needs to be convenient and to fit into their busy lives
Half of all plastic today is used only once. That means thousands of years sitting in a landfill or floating in our oceans, for just moments of use. We think that’s outrageous.
Today’s consumers—particularly Millennials and Gen Z—share our outrage. They’re leading the charge in the zero waste + plastic-free movements, by taking steps in their own lives and encouraging others to live more sustainably.
And they’re demanding that companies act accordingly.
Solutions to our waste problem need to be simple, convenient, and fit into busy lives in order to create mass, systems change.
Most reusable products of the past have been ugly, bulky and leaky—hardly an inspiring way to evoke change
With more than half of consumers willing to pay more for reusable, sustainable products, we found a massive opportunity to make reusables more convenient.
Solution
Stojo is a collapsible and portable lifestyle brand
Stylish products that make it easier to live sustainably
We create products that solve the world’s waste problem and give consumers the products they need to make sustainable lifestyle changes.
And we’re arming our passionate community with products that make it fun and inspiring to choose reusables every day.
Stojo is on a mission to end disposable culture, one convenient, collapsible, reusable container at a time.

Vision and strategy
Stojo is on a mission to end disposable culture
Imagine a world where the things we buy actually clean up the environment
Stojo's mission to end disposable culture drives everything we do.
We are building Stojo to create beautifully designed products that make it easy for anyone to change their habits to help eliminate single-use waste. Our product roadmap showcases our dedication to the mission, and to giving our customers the beautifully crafted products they’re asking for.
We still live in a mostly Linear Economy. While the Recycling Economy is here to stay, and Stojo is very much a part of that, much work still needs to be done globally to:
- Phase out Linear Economy thinking and practices
- Achieve Recycling Economy-based consumer habits, commercial critical mass and economies of scale
- Pave the way for a truly global Circular Economy
That's where we are focused. Imagine a world without single-use plastic. A world where you can order takeout and your daily latte without the guilt of wasteful packaging. Stojo is focused on making this happen by propelling Circular Economy solutions for consumers and businesses.
Funding
Raised $1M in funding to date
Stojo has raised a combined $1M through convertible notes, a SAFE and equity from The Seed Lab and WeWork, in addition to friends & family.
We are a capital-efficient organization, and have turned $1M in funding into $14M in revenue.
We plan to continue our disciplined, capital-efficient approach with the capital raised through Republic.
Founders
Designed by a dad on a mission
Jurrien Swarts, Founder & CEO
As a dad and CEO, I started Stojo because I wanted to leave the world a better place for my kids. I wanted to create a brand that reflects my values, employs smart circular design, and adheres to regenerative business principles and practices.
I am committed to using the power of brand and storytelling to shift the single-use culture contributing to the destruction of our precious oceans and waterways.
