The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES, or “ДСНС” in Ukrainian): restores residential life support systems such as power, gas, food and water supply, extinguishes fires caused by shelling, searches and rescues victims from under the rubble of destroyed buildings, provides psychological support, ensures technogenic safety, and more.

To encourage higher donations, we will create and distribute unique NFTs of several rarity tiers based on donation amount. These NFTs are created from fragments obtained by volunteers from blast sites during safe hours. We're using CG/3D scanning to digitize and mint them into NFTs. They will also be tradable on the secondary marketplace, with royalties going to charity set to 50%.

What is an NFT?

NFT stands for Non Fungible Token, meaning it’s a unique digital object, that is identifiable on the blockchain.

NFTs are most well known as pictures sold for exorbitant amounts. But NFTs (non-fungible tokens) are just a technology, like websites or email. During the war in Ukraine, many charitable NFT drops by artists were used a mechanism to raise funds to help victims and refugees.

100% of the net proceeds* of this drop will go to SES, as well as 50% of all secondary sales.

What will my money pay for?: 100% of the net proceeds* will go to the accounts of The State Emergency Service of Ukraine. The use of funds during war time can not be predicted in advance. The money will be used according to the most immediate needs at the SES discretion.

When will I get my NFT?

You will get 2 NFTs:

The Donation Receipt NFT. You get one immediately after donation. This is only a placeholder, while the actual NFTs are being generated and produced.
The Tribute NFT. We will distribute (airdrop) the unique Tribute NFTs in early April to the same wallets that contain the Donation Receipt NFT.

Is this tax deductible?: Yes. Republic is organizing the donation campaign in collaboration with our partner VietChallenge, Inc, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Your charitable donation will be made to a wallet operated by VietChallenge, Inc. and deemed tax-deductible.

How can I pay?

You can make a donation using:

Is my donation refundable?: No, donations are non-refundable.

How do I know where my funds go?

Thanks to the transparent nature of crypto, you will be able to trace the funds movement on the blockchain. 100% of the net proceeds* from the sale of NFTs will be held in a multi-signature wallet. From there, the funds will be sent to a designated crypto account on a major exchange, converted to USD, and wired to SES' bank account in Ukraine.

* Net proceeds means everything except the processing and transaction fees. The fees are collected by Stripe (4.5% + 30c per transaction) if paying with card, and Coinbase (2.5%) if paying with crypto. If paying with Matic (on Polygon), there are no added fees. There is also a gas fee on each transaction that goes entirely to the blockchain network. For Polygon chain this fee is very low at about $0.01–$0.03.

In making a charitable donation to the Ukrainian State Emergency Services (“SES”), you will be provided a non-fungible token (“NFT”) from VietChallenge, Inc. (“VietChallenge”) through the Republic platform maintained by Republic Core LLC (“Republic” and together with VietChallenge, the “Supporters”), in furtherance of such you acknowledge and agree that:

RESIDENTS OF NEW YORK STATE ARE PROHIBITED FROM RECEIVING AN NFT AND SHOULD NOT PARTICIPATE IN THIS CHARITABLE ENDEAVOR.

The receipt of an NFT is not intended to be an offering or sale of securities, swaps on either securities or commodities or a financial instrument of any kind as may be determined by any law, rule, or regulation. Purchases and sales of NFTs may not be subject to the protections of any laws governing those types of financial instruments. This document and all other content, including without limitation on republic.com/for-ukraine do not constitute a prospectus or offering document, and are not an offer to sell. Republic will not custody, control or direct any consideration for the NFTs, the consideration for such being provided directly to SES.

You should not make a charitable donation to the SES to receive the NFTs for financial investment purposes. Whether or not a donation to SES is tax-deductible will be solely determined by you and your independent advisors. The NFTs are not designed for investment purposes and should not be considered as a type of financial investment by any law, rule, or regulation. With respect to your purchase of the NFT, you acknowledge and agree that you are not expecting to profit from the NFT based on any efforts by either of the Supporters or its affiliates. The purchase of an NFT is a non-reversible and non-refundable event. Neither of the Supporters shall have no obligation or liability for the secure custody or use of the NFT and any losses arising from such custody or use or solely the purchasers. You agree and warrant that any consideration provided to the SES was not acquired via money-laundering, illegal activity or in a manner or method that would otherwise call into question the suitability of the use of such consideration.

You hereby expressly waive and release any and all claims, now known or hereafter known, against either of the Supporters, its affiliates and their officers, directors, manager(s), employees, agents, shareholders/members (collectively, "Releasees"), related to the NFTs, whether arising out of the ordinary negligence of either of the Supporters or any Releasees or otherwise. You covenant not to make or bring any such claim against either of the Supporters or any other Releasee, and forever release and discharge either of the Supporters and all other Releasees from liability under such claims.

Your purchase of the NFT and your rights related to it are also governed by the license agreement found at Terms of Use (“TurboSquid Terms”). If you do not wish to abide by the Turbosquid Terms you should not participate in this charitable event. Your purchase of the NFTs is also governed by the terms and conditions of the NFT’s smart contract (the “Smart Contract”). As provided for in the Smart Contract, any resale or transfer of the NFT shall result in 50% of the gross proceeds being directed to SES.

How to donate a custom amount

To donate a custom amount, you can purchase several NFTs. For example, to donate $250, select the $50 option and set quantity to 5 on the next screen.

Minimum donation amount (the cost of the cheapest NFT) is $50. There is no maximum.
