Founded by Laura Modi and Sarah Hardy, Bobbie addresses gaps in the infant formula market with a focus on nutrition and transparency. It is the first mom-founded, women-led infant formula brand in the U.S., combining scientific expertise with parental insight.
In April 2025, Bobbie launched the first USDA Organic Whole Milk infant formula in the U.S. Developed over three years, the product meets both USDA and EU organic standards and includes naturally occurring milk fat globule membrane and high levels of DHA. It is the first formula in the U.S. to use real, organic whole milk as the primary ingredient—offering a simpler, more natural alternative to conventional formulas made with multiple processed components. The formulation is designed to closely resemble breast milk and support brain and immune system development.
Bobbie has experienced rapid growth, increasing its share of the non-WIC market from under 1% during the 2022 formula shortage to over 5%. It now serves 500,000 families and has raised $142 million, including a $70 million Series C led by PowerPlant Partners. That round enabled the acquisition of Nature’s One—the first newly built infant formula facility in the U.S. in 40 years.
Bobbie differentiates itself through a Medical Motherboard of pediatricians and dietitians, clean label certification, and a direct-to-consumer model that challenges traditional infant nutrition approaches.
