Republic Deal Room is a marketplace that enables individual accredited and institutional investors to access sought-after investment opportunities, traditionally reserved for only the most well-connected Silicon Valley insiders. To get access to the Deal Room, apply at republic.co/accredited. 

We believe that enabling entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas to a broader base of early investors who are representative of a diversity of industries and backgrounds can unleash a new wave of innovation. There are multitudes of qualified investors who currently have the means but not the access. You shouldn’t be locked out of this process simply because you’re not based in the greater New York City region or the Bay Area. 

In opening up deal access for more accredited investors, we’re enabling subject matter experts to fund the projects in which they see the most potential and importance. For example, a medtech startup's potential may be more immediately obvious to a doctor than to an MBA-grad-turned-VC. The ongoing wave of legal tech innovation should be directed by lawyers who have first-hand experience in handling intricate cases. There are dentists who see the massive potential for new, tech-enabled solutions for their field, but lack the investing access. The list goes on.

Republic’s mission to change the world by changing investing isn't just about driving innovation. Today, less than 10 percent of venture investments go to companies with non-white-male founders. We must all work to improve this sad statistic, not only because it’s the right thing to do (which it is), but because there are massive opportunities present in tapping into the innovative ideas that come from the more than two-thirds of the U.S. population that are currently largely frozen out of the fundraising process.
