The Movie

The film follows the "Dead & Famous" bus tour as its driver and passengers stumble upon a secret underworld in the Hills and descend into a nightmare. Part Hollywood stroll, part hallucinatory horror, the film plays out like a juicy slice of gothic L.A. that delights in questioning the very idea of reality.
The Director's Pitch
There is a bus in Los Angeles that only runs after dark.
The Dead & Famous tour takes you past the celebrity murders, overdoses, and hidden addresses the maps leave off — Hollywood’s greatest hits, in the order they happened.
Tonight it goes off route.
A dying star is looming above the city, the way a comet hung over it in 1899 — the year Los Angeles lost its mind and never entirely got it back. Twelve people have vanished in these hills. Nobody has connected the two.
By morning, the passengers will know what has been living in the depths of Hollywood for 125 years. But at what cost?

The Comic Prequel
The century-long prequel to the movie’s fateful night. Every Villa comes with early access to the comic.

A secondary character in the film, LOGAN LINK, fallen king of Hollywood and former leader of the Black Fire Society, is the main protagonist of “A Link to Eternity“, the comic prequel to “Hollywood Hills“. Following his century-old story from rags to riches (and back to rags), the comic takes you on a fantastical journey into the golden age(s) of Hollywood and the cataclysmic events leading to the film. What happened on August 8th, 1899 (the fateful ‘night of the comet’); which supernatural forces presided over the foundation of the Black Fire Society; how the BFS created the city of Los Angeles and the movie industry within it… Until its slow and painful descent into oblivion over the last 100 years.
Written by Hollywood Hills director Benjamin Rozovas and filmmaker Julien Carbon, drawn by a yet-to-be-announced superstar artist, it’s a fascinating tale of love, betrayal and cosmic hubris, told on a scale so big that it could only be contained in a lavish, spectacular, 130 pages volume.

Random events? Or is there a deeper thread? One perk of investment will be periodic clue drops, and your investigations will help tease out the mystery. In fact, the first clue is here… somewhere on this page.
Your Villa
Your home in the world of Hollywood Hills: a collectible Villa that unlocks holder perks and hides a clue to the mystery.

Each investor (at any amount) is eligible to own an NFT digital-collectible property “Villa” designed by artist Steve Scott, whose work has shown at the Guggenheim, Pictoplasma Berlin, the British Animation Awards, and at Led Zeppelin concerts.
Each Villa contains a unique piece of evidence, and is a unique environment with custom architecture and interior design, rich characterizations, and storytelling built into every detail: designed to feel like a scene from the upcoming film.

What your Villa unlocks
These perks travel with the Villa if it's sold.
Every villa. A unique address in the Hills that holds a clue to Hollywood's buried history; holder-only Discord with behind-the-scenes drops as the film gets made; The Black Fire Archive, the holder-only investigation game; early access to the comic prequel.
Uncommon (and above): the digital art book of the 3,000 Villas and the key art, and how Steve Scott designed them.

Perks

Perks are cumulative. Investors receive perks and bonuses at their investment level, plus all perks at lower levels.
Higher investment levels increase your odds of a Rare or better-quality Villa, as well as deeper access and involvement with the creative and tech communities involved in this creative property development opportunity.

Perks terms
Access, not control. Every creative decision stays with Benjamin and the production team. Available principal cast may join private investor events, subject to contracts, schedules and availability. Perks are promotional. They are a thank-you for backing the film early, and they don't change what you're paid as an investor. † Depends on the finished film. Where it lands is the filmmakers' choice and subject to final cut. Anything that doesn't make the edit lives on in the comic, the Hollywood Bulletin or The Black Fire Archive. ‡ Delivered on the production's schedule, not the campaign's. Travel and accommodation are yours — set visits, the premiere and the bus tour included. *The audition is self-taped and reviewed by the casting team. An audition is not an offer and does not lead to one.
Villas do not stack — you receive one Villa, the one for your tier. Villa rarity allocation within any tier operates strictly on a first-come, first-served timestamp basis. If a designated rarity supply fills, subsequent investors automatically receive the next lower available Villa rarity. In the event that an earlier investor withdraws prior to campaign close, the queue shifts upward, with the chance of upgrading eligible investors as long as the Villa supply is available. In the event that you withdraw your investment and reinvest the same amount at a later date, you do not receive any previous perk which are finite such as Villas. Villas are digital collectible tokens only, and do not entitle you to revenues from the project.
