How much you can invest on the Republic platform primarily depends on the U.S. regulation that pertains to the type of offering you are investing in and your accredited investor status or status as a U.S. person. Regulation Crowdfunding and Regulation A/A+ offerings have investment limits for non-accredited investors. This is done to limit the risks from speculative and illiquid investments.
Your limit can be automatically calculated based on your income and networth on your Republic profile.
If you’re a non-accredited investor, the amount you can invest under Regulation CF during any 12 month period depends on your annual income level and net worth. As a non-accredited investor, you can invest the greater of
Reg A offerings have different investment limits for different investor types as well. There are no limits to how much an accredited investor can invest in Reg A/A+ offerings, while non-accredited investors can invest up to 10% of their net worth or annual income per offering, whichever is greater.
Note: Regulation Crowdfunding investments and limits do not affect your investment limits under Regulation A/A+ or vice versa. The investment limits apply to everyone, including entities and non U.S. persons, but accredited investors have no limits currently.
Sometimes, offerings will have set maximums, which will limit how much you are able to invest in a single offering.
