Life after Republic - MEET THE LIL BUCKS TEAM!
Hi Republic investors and fans,
A little less than a month out of our campaign, we have some exciting news to share:
1) TEAM:

Thanks to your investments we were able to make our first corporate hires! Meet Gabby Miles (left), our new Marketing Manager coming from 6 years at Kitchfix, another Midwest granola brand that went national. She will be my righthand woman spearheading our marketing campaigns across retail and digital. I'll bring in the accounts, pass the baton to her to make sure we FLY off the shelves. I'd also like to introduce you to Jenni Burke (right), our new Marketing Coordinator coming from field marketing in GT's Kombucha and freelancing digital marketing for other small businesses. She brings epic energy to our social -- and being somewhat of a TikTok star herself, she started our TikTok page here! We can't wait to get her in the field and at events as those pop up again.
Above is our first in-person quarterly summit -- I plan to hold these quarterly to review KPI's but go deeper on our strategy, what's working and what's not, and do some team-building on a personal and professional level to keep our employees engaged for the long term. This is an exciting new chapter to put a TEAM behind our momentum!
2) FUNDING
As you know we closed the $155k+ on Republic end of April, and four days later, we also closed $670,000 of a $900,000 convertible note round. Between that and this Republic campaign, we've raised over $1M to date to secure Lil Bucks as America's Buckwheat Brand. We're already much farther along than brands raising their first $1M - so we can use this efficiently to get to the next level, using tactics that we know already work for us.
3) LAUNCHES
We launched into Lassen's, an amazing natural grocery chain in L.A. this week:

Our new Matcha Cookie Crunch is also flying off the shelf at Pop Up Grocer in Chicago - we received our largest reorder ever (100 bags for less than a month of being open) just six days into the store opening.

4. PRESS
Lastly, we are stoked to share our feature in Bloomberg (!!) by Larissa Zimberoff. It's about businesses working to educate consumers on regenerative organic farming - taking the next step to provide food that's better for you AND the planet. She highlights big businesses and small - like LIL BUCKS! - and what they're doing to take the next step for regenerative organic products. This has always been important to us as buckwheat is a great "cover crop" bringing more nutrients into the soil after it's grown. Our literal mission is to improve American diets and soil health via buckwheat! 🌾

News on the back of that: we contracted with our first fully regenerative-organic certified buckwheat farmer and will receive the first lot after harvest in the Fall. We're paving the way for the future of food!
One more new product coming soon... guarantee you will be using it on everything ;)
Thank you again for the support,
Emily
