Why the Founders of Peapod and Sifter invested in Cool Beans

Cool Beans and Sifter share the goal to make healthy eating easy and convenient for everyone.  Sifter makes it easy to find the right foods for individual, and often complex, diet needs.  The Co-Founders, Andrew and Thomas Parkinson, have the experience and deep understanding that grocery shopping is complicated.  Add in specific dietary needs and shopping can be stressful and time-consuming. As the founders of Peapod and ItemMaster they have successfully solved for innovative grocery shopping before.

Mike Brennan, one of Cool Beans Co-Founders, worked with Andrew and Thomas at Peapod for 19 years as Chief Operating Officer.  Caryn Africk, another Cool beans Co-Founder, also worked with Andrew and Thomas at Peapod for 13 years in merchandising and product development. With that history, aligned goals, and great tasting healthy products, the Sifter Co-Founders were early investors in Cool Beans in 2019.
