NovaVeil officially launches in New York & perks go out to investors!
As you recall, NovaVeil is a beautiful, wearable (but scientifically proven) way to repel mosquitoes and ticks, embedding bio-repellents in your apparel for over 80 washes. We have so many updates to share with you, our followers and investors! We officially launched the line in New York in late November!
We were pleased to send investors in NovaVeil and Maternova their perks-- the scarves, dresses or leggings as requested just before the holidays in 2017.
The Maternova team has been hard at work on the manufacturing, regulatory, marketing and sales aspects of this new product line.
-In 2017 we oversaw the first manufacturing run of the NovaVeil line, successfully creating 1000 garments and shipping inventory to the Netherlands, U.S. and Portugal
-We officially launched the NovaVeil line at the Impact Travel Alliance summit in New York city. A range of travel companies from booking.com to TripAdvisor were targeted for product introduction.
-We garnered interest from wholesalers in Brazil, Portugal, Nigeria and Mali and we've targeted cruise ships and travel agents as early advocates of the brand.
-Maternova contracted with a sales team in Brazil to narrow down leads, targeting five leading maternity brands for product introduction in the Brazilian market.
- We had a meeting with 10 EPA experts advising us on steps needed to get regulatory approval for the NovaVeil line within the U.S.
-We submitted two 100+ page grants proposal for additional studies on the textile (NIAID and National Science Foundation) for non-dilutive funding.
-We partnered with several universities for further R&D and rollout of the NovaVeil line and a University of Colorado business school team for emerging market entry strategy
-We have already begun planning designs for the 2nd manufacturing run!!
Please send us your ideas, your contacts in the travel industry and beyond! And for those of you interested in the emerging reign of ticks, please see this article in the Guardian from last week! https://www.theguardian.com/sc...
