Participated in a meeting hosted by the Epilepsy Foundation for digital healthcare innovators. Jackie French, Chief Innovation Officer from the Epilepsy Foundation is planning a round table panel in March 2024 and aims to bring innovators such as Neureka together with the FDA and CMS in a round table for one day. Neureka expressed that the highest topic priority is availing additional reimbursement to epilepsy digital health care technologies to foster more innovation. I have agreed in principle to participate in the 2024 event.

Participated in a symposium hosted by Neurelis titled "Intermittent Rescue Therapy for Seizure Clusters: Hypothesis-Generating Observation of Change Across Time in SEIzure InterVAL (Time Between Seizure Clusters). Neurelis' analysis explored SEIzure interVAL (SEIVAL; time between seizure clusters) in patients from a long-term safety study of diazepam nasal spray (Valtoco) to assess SEIVAL changes with intermittent rescue therapy across time. The study included 163 treated patients. Across 12 months and beyond, a statistically significant increase in mean SEIVAL was demonstrated in patients who used diazepam nasal spray for treatment of seizure clusters in consecutive periods in a phase 3 safety study. The pattern was consistent regardless of age group, study duration, and change to concomitant medications, and with no effect on Quality of Life in Epilepsy Scores - QOLIE-31-P. Finally, it's been a very energizing experience participating for the first time at AES! The event was way larger than I ever imagined. I learned that the meeting typically attracts nearly 6000 participants from around the globe. The event utilizes approximately 12,000 hotel sleeping room nights; requires meeting rooms for approximately 110 education and career development sessions, and 200 in conjunction with meetings; and occupies a footprint of roughly 430,000 to 500,000 square feet!! Looking forward to next year's event in Orlando, FL.
