For those who don't know, Republic is launching a blockchain asset called Note.  In this first phase, it's basically just like miles or points from your airline or credit card, worth something on the platform but nothing off of it ... BUT they intend to tie it to Republic's returns in the future.  

If they're successful in this, then the Note will have real value like a cryptocurrency (aka money). Getting Note would be like getting a piece of all the companies on the platform. No guarantee the second phase will happen, of course, but I wouldn't bet against the team at Republic.

Backstory: I'm into crypto mining, started late on Bitcoin in 2015 but mined Ethereum when it was still early. I'm a big fan of blockchain and it seems like a good way for us to all maybe share in Republic's returns if (and only if) they pull off that second part.
