Development and Publishing Update for Q1 2022
Hey everyone!
We can finally reveal some of the details on our first few titles. First up is remaster of a title created by Jordan Mechner. Jordan is best known for the Prince of Persia series, but he was also one of the first people to pioneer animation and cutscenes in games. Below are some of the original character animations used in Prince of Persia for players and guards.
The game we’ve remastered with Jordan goes back to his roots, it’s a project that started one of the most influential careers in gaming.
Second up is a collection of games 40 years in the making. The Jeff Minter collection celebrates the longest running independent game developer in the video game industry. Jeff created Tempest 2000 and many other great games for his own company, Llamasoft. As one of the original rock star game creators, his style is one of the most unique in the industry - the word “psychedelic” is often used to describe his games. But words don’t really do them justice, you have to see and experience them for yourself.

As many of you know, Digital Eclipse has worked with some of the biggest names in video games - creating collections for Capcom, Activision Blizzard, and Disney to name a few. Most recently, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection was announced at Sony’s State of Play, and quickly rose to #5 of all things trending on Twitter. Now we have another project we’re working on for Atari, that is unlike any collection they’ve released, and which Fig investors will share in the proceeds, and it’s landing this year, just in time for Atari’s 50th anniversary..!

We’d love to share more details about the specific games, but we have press embargoes in place. As soon as they lift, we’ll forward you some of the coverage highlights.
And this is just the beginning, we are working with some major publishers on their iconic IP and we can’t wait to share the details we can about those as well..!
