"I've golfed once in my life," billionaire Mark Cuban said in 2018. But that didn't stop Cuban from investing six figures...

Customers
People ♥ Golfkicks
Golfkicks has a fast-growing community of fans showing off their style and sending us photos and videos of their creations. 97% of customers give us a 4 or 5 star rating on Shopify and Amazon. All it takes is one person with a cool pair of kicks and all of their friends want some too.
Business model
$1.09M in TTM revenue
We sell traction directly to consumers through our website golfkicks.com and Amazon. Traction kits sell for $32 and we’ve generated $1MM+ in TTM revenue, split roughly 50/50 between the two, at ~55% gross margins. We're also learning through boutique retail partnerships with shops in Japan, South Korea and France.
Market
Global golf shoe market worth $8.5B by 2022
The global golf shoe market is projected at $8.5B by 2022. In addition to golf-specific footwear, we estimate over 20% of today's golfers wear sneakers, sandals and other shoes when they play. Golfkicks has an opportunity to play a serious role in the sports footwear market by making sports fun and accessible to anyone who owns a pair of sneakers.
Our traction goes beyond golf as well - it works for baseball, football, lacrosse, hiking, lawn mowing and almost anywhere traction helps.
Competition
Golfkicks first-to-market & patent-pending
Golfkicks created the market for addable golf traction and has the competitive advantage of being first, as well as patent-pending product status and multiple trademarks around the brand. Golfkicks is the company known for bringing street style to the green, appealing to a new generation of golfers. Alternatives to Golfkicks include regular golf shoes, very expensive converted customs from "sole swappers", or wearing normal shoes without traction for golf. We continue to innovate and maintain competitive advantage with high quality, affordable products that are simple to use and understand.
Vision and strategy
Going global and multisport by the end of 2021
Kicks Industries has several exciting brand and distribution partnerships launching in 2021. We are expanding globally to Amazon Europe and Japan and opening distribution overseas. We have also partnered with Pride Sports (Champ, Softspikes), growing manufacturing capacity 10X to meet demand in new markets. In addition to the newest Version 5 golf spikes (Spring 21) get ready for Yardkicks baseball/softball traction launching this Summer and other brands to follow.
Funding
$550k raised to date, $1.5M sales
Prior funding includes $300K from friends and family (2019) and $250K initial closing Series Seed (2020). Funds from this offering support growth to $200K monthly sales in 2021, purchasing inventory and expanding to additional markets.
Founders
Team has worked and played together for 15 years
The Golfkicks adventure began in a Denver garage with three friends ranging from decent to unsafe on the golf course. We had trouble finding cool, comfortable golf shoes and wondered why you couldn't just add traction to a pair of Chucks or Jordans or whatever you wanted. After a few bad prototypes and some terrible rounds of golf we set up shop to provide freedom of footwear choice to golfers around the world.
