I'm pleased to announce that I just (as in, about 5 minutes ago) signed an agreement for a new lending partnership with OnDeck Capital! We've been working on this for months and I am excited for us to be ramping up that partnership in Q4.

I was asked recently (for a show I was interviewing for) to record a casual, fast, 1-minute pitch. I thought since I shared it with them, I certainly ought to share it with our community here. So, without further ado...

I think it goes without saying that I need to work on my public speaking skills and that we, as a company, are rocking and rolling with new partnerships and new tech!

Within the last couple of months, AmEx announced that they would be purchasing Kabbage, and Enova International announced they were purchasing OnDeck Capital Inc for ~5% of its 2014 IPO value due to financial issues (this purchase is under litigation due to breach of fiduciary duty). OnDeck joined Visa's Small Business Hub last week.

I fail to find where AmEx purchased OnDeck.

(A friendly suggestion for public speaking: try substituting pauses, for the "um" and "ah". Rather than adding these distractions during your message, the pauses allow for you to think of what you want to share next - while the audience is anxiously awaiting what you are going to say.) First off...I am an investor and am really looking forward to huge progress with Janover Ventures.
While watching your short video (which btw...not so bad partner) you say that you'll be or are the first...how is your scene different from Groundfloor?

@billy-chrzan ground floor is a great company, that's currently, as I understand it, connecting individual investors to borrowers in what is currently higher coast loans for non-bankable deals. We're looking to change the face of the entire industry instead of a small cohort of loans. All that said, I could be wrong about ground floor, and I think they're great guys.
