Hey everyone!

We've sent a sporadic email updates since we closed our Republic campaign, but I figured it would be helpful to publish something officially on the Republic platform to summarize where we're at!

1. Rebrand

We loved our old logo and colors, but felt that it was time for a refresh. Something friendlier and more directly tied to gaming (note: the headphones). And please meet our new logo and mascot, Jukey! 

2. Relaunch

In March of 2021 we quietly started work on our mobile application with a new vision: to build a verticalized social network for esports fans. Tens of thousands of users loved Juked.gg, the best place to discover/watch esports, but we identified an even bigger problem to solve... 

3. Toxicity in esports

We found in hundreds of user interviews, surveys, and informal conversations that average esports fans are frustrated by the status quo of the hot takes, shallow and superficial discussion, and toxicity prevalent on social media. Esports fans crave and deserve a better solution, a place where they can meet like-minded fans and have deeper conversations about the esports they love. A place that leaves hate and bigotry in the rear view mirror.

4. Enter... the Juked App 

We launched the Juked app into Alpha 3 months ago, October 2021, and have been actively alpha testing  with a small group of passionate users. And I'm pleased to say that the response has been overwhelmingly positive, with an incredibly wholesome and engaged community forming on our new social platform. We're seeing strong signs of product-market-fit, including 65%+ retention after 4 weeks. While we're still in early alpha, these engagement numbers are off the charts good, and we can't wait to get the app out to the public as soon as March. 

5. The future

2022 is about scaling up, launching on all platforms + web, and refining our core feature set. We're also actively exploring web3 technologies and have strong conviction in web3/tokenization as a means of building deeper connections to our community and a more engaging and rewarding social platform than was possible with web2.

We're slowly expanding the alpha over time, and currently support League of Legends, VALORANT, CS:GO, Overwatch, Call of Duty, and most recently Halo!
