The new RadioPublic app is here!
Hello again!
It’s been quite a month since we last updated you about the launch of Podsites - which are off to an excellent start (here’s are some live examples from our early beta testers: Car Thoughts with David, College Sports Hour, Iconography, and other5billion).
The big moves of Spotify’s acquisitions, Luminary introducing another “Netflix for Podcasting” strategy, and new audience research showing a huge jump in listening is all great news for podcasting and for RadioPublic.
And to add to the great news from us: we’re excited to introduce another major update for RadioPublic, and ask your help in fanning the flames. We have just launched version 2.0 of the RadioPublic apps - filled with many new listener-requested features and many new ways to help podcasters grow their shows.
Go update your RadioPublic app now (and leave a helpful review!).
Here are two of our newest features that reinforce the discovery and engagement tenets of our mission:
HearMarks™ unlock the goodness within a podcast episode, making an episode even more shareable. Save and share moments with just a tap of the headphone button or the HearMark™ button in the app.
Stations are a serendipitous lean-back listening experience, built upon our (industry-first) Podcast Librarian's hand-curated recommendations. Press play anytime you see a “start listening” button on a collection of shows to listen to podcast after podcast.
Even with all these new features (and even more; update your app in the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store to see all that’s new), there are also some very important things have not changed with the all-new versions of the app: RadioPublic is free, protects your privacy, is universally accessible to listeners worldwide, and supports independent podcasters.
Listening—to podcasts and to each other—is at the core of podcasting’s overall growth, and our app is at the core of podcasters’ growth as well as our own. Take a look around, find a new show to love (and support), and most importantly, happy listening.
Jake
P.S. We launched on Product Hunt today, too. Let us know what you think about the new app there!
