Discriminating World Renowned Pumpkin Grower Selects PittMoss
Believe it or not, even though summer hasn't officially started yet there are growers planting for the fall already.
One of them is Ron Wallace.
Ron Wallace is the first grower in the world to grow a pumpkin over 1500 and 2000 lbs and he's won 22 Great Pumpkin Commonwealth (GPC) weigh-offs gaining him a place in the GPC Hall of Fame.
As you might suspect, Ron is a very discriminating grower, selecting only the best media for his craft.
Which is precisely why he chose PittMoss as his growing medium this year. Aside from helping with nutrient and moisture retention and uptake, Ron also was looking for a media that did not add high levels of NPK that could throw off the balance of his soil.
In our interview with Ron he said, "PittMoss also does not play a role with raising or lowering your soil pH, that was a bonus!"
In these pictures, you'll see Ron deploying a supersack of the PH neutral and environmentally friendly product, covering 800 square feet, to grow this year's award-winning pumpkin. And you'll see him proudly posing with his over 2000 lb pumpkin from 2012. To read our full interview with Ron Wallace follow this link.
Ron's trust in PittMoss to grow this year's award-winning pumpkin is further proof that these products can improve growing yields in personal flower and vegetable gardens, cannabis, and even the commercial farms we all depend upon. Don't miss your opportunity to invest and get some PittMoss for your own garden.
