I read your journey and am impressed of how you are doing business and live your life.
I was looking around on how to publish an e-book and came across your platform here on Republic. I was a little late for investing and am now on the waitlist, who knows I might be an investor and a client because the features and versatility I have seen on your platform is everything I need!

Hi Sahil, congrats on the fundraise. I have been following your company since 2013 when I graduated from college and applied for a backend SWE position.

I read that accredited investors might still be able to invest. How do I find more information about that? I would love to invest since I missed it here this time.

I’m on your “ Waitlist”.
Are you or are you not going for another round ?
It’s been suggested that Gumroad may seek another million, upping it from five to six million.
I’m in limbo with a potential $1000.00 investment that could be invested elsewhere if you’re not going to going to raise it another million dollars.
I also have no idea where I sit in respect to the waitlist.
Please advise.

@kenneth-gerber $5million is the cap for regCF raises in a single year. If you are an accredited investor their might be a tandem 503(c) private round happening in conjunction with the regCF effort.

Definitely the very best way celebrating new CF sold 5M out within 24 hours. I wanted to invest more but max investing amount limited to $1000 was the bottleneck for me. Will wait for next round. keep rolling all the great work.

Why are people indicating they missed the first round,and therefore out of the loop ? I’m on a waitlist as Gumroad “implied” there may be another round for another million.

@kenneth-gerber The waitlist is only just in case any of the original committed 7k+ investors ($5M reg CF raise max) choose to cancel their commitment before close (April 16?). In Gumroad's case, they have already reached their goal much earlier than the required deadline. The additional million appears to have been raised from other accredited sources (see below).

Per Sahil's post, Gumroad raised $5M in 12 hours, from 7,303 investors. Separately, they raised $1M from Naval Ravikant, Jason Fried, and others, bringing the total amount raised to $6M.

Hmm.. my investment was accepted (on 15th of March), and today (23rd of March) cancelled, because I (apparently) did not provide the required documents in the correct format. I didn't receive a notification about this until now. And I am not able to reinvest as the list is closed.. So it seems my only option is to get on the waiting list, but without clear communication about what exactly was not ok about the identification documents I provided (pictures of my ID, as requested) - What did I miss here? Is the investment option only for US? (I'm Belgian, residing in Germany)
