As a SME owner myself, I realize the difficluty of running a profitable business and the numerous aspects that it entails. Advertising and marketing are a full time job in themselves. Why not delegate that to a company you can trust to take care of that aspect while you focus on the work itself?!
Not to mention the traction that they have received, 1200+ paying customers and $1MM in revenue in the last year. It is much more comforting to invest in a business that actually has a product and sales, rather than vaporware with great "promise".

COI has found a way to determine how energy efficient buildings are and then work to improve that efficiency. They have also created a marketplace where "users with a subscription based model can buy, sell, trade and gift energy to anyone that needs it." This aspect caught my eye on their website.
I look forward to seeing how they grow, help make operations more energy efficient and also empower the traditionally underserved.

Nada seems to be making great progress with increasing revenue and a growing list of credible backers. They are also run by "Power Founders" which makes me more certain of their vision and potential for massive growth.
Selling a house can be a painful, expensive, nerve-racking and cumbersome process. Nada simplifies that, and a simple solution usually wins.

This looked like a great opportunity to invest in a startup-up that helps people travel comfortably. Being on international flights has shown me that a seat which allows the customer to lay down would be a huge win for the travelers & the airlines. I can foresee many airlines eventually getting on board and this becoming a norm for air, bus & train travel. I look forward to seeing how Zephyr progresses over the next few years!

Pitmoss is tackling a huge problem. I previously owned and ran a landscaping business and I know the amount of peat moss that is used. By utilizing the discarded fibers and materials that usually go into the landfill, we can eliminate excessive waste and improve the environment as well.
The progress made by Pitmoss is impressive, and I can see this taking off as people become more conscious of the necessity to think long term about our actions.

After doing some research on Asarasi and their product, this idea of extracting pure water from maple syrup seems like a revolutionary way to sustainably produce healthy water. Not only that, but they seem to have distribution in over 1,100 stores worldwide (some of those being major retailers, i.e., Walmart, Kroger and Home Goods) and even have backing from Anheuser-Busch, which is a good indicator as well. I look forward to the progress!

I see Upshift as a good investment, because I believe people within metropolitan areas will begin to utilize fractional car leasing, rather than owning & maintaining their own vehicles which can be an expensive & cumbersome process. I also see the potential to free up space in the cities where many cars sit idle (1/3) & influence people to think more long term about how we commute and transport ourselves, especially in urban areas.
